Week 4 Homework
Interrogate one of your other ideas. Choose AT LEAST ten questions from the lists generated in class (by all the groups). (I may also provide some additional questions to choose from.) Ask and answer them of one of your ideas.
Concept Synopsis:
This is a 2D animation about a little girl who had lost her mother in an accident. She was left roaming in the street , fighting to survive. She was constantly abuse by the villagers because she was born without knowing who her father was, thus making her an outcast. One day, the village was burn to the ground and there were no survivors..except for her.
Project Type: 2D Animation
1. Who is my character?
A young little girl who is homeless
2. What is my character feeling? Emotion? Does the emotions change?
She feels sad that no one care for her, her emotions change later in the story.
She becomes angry and was filled with anger
3. Why?
Because she soon finds out that her mother's death was not an accident, her mother was burn to death by the villagers
4. What choices does the character make?
She burns down the whole village out of anger
5. Physical Characteristic?
She is a tiny little girl who is very skinny due to malnutrition.
6. How large is the environment?
A small part of a tiny village for most part of the film
7.Does light/dark matter in the environment?
Yes, it plays a huge role in the animation. She is surrounded by darkness (a ghetto area)
Her village is tiny and not very prosperous.
8. What are your inspirations? How is your work different?
The Little Match Girl plays a big role in developing this idea, it is different because the end result is not the same.
In the little match girl, she has a pure heart throughout the whole animation and eventually died of cold/hunger.
But for this animation, the little girl was abuse and soon finds out that her mother was killed by the people who abuse
her. So the story becomes very dark, filled with anger and some betrayal.
